When in Prague

Morning Everyone!

Todays travel post is about the beautiful city of Prague. Myself and a friend travelled there in February of this year and we loved it! Although we where only in Prague for three days we managed to visit all the major sites and soak up the diverse Czech Republic culture.

Here we are all rugged up in the town square.

The town square is filled with shops, places to eat and some of the most beautiful architecture I have ever seen!

Another must do is Prazsky Hrad or for us english speaking fool, Prague Castle. The castle and adjacent cathedral is truly stunning.

Dating back to the 9th century, the castle is one of the oldest remaining cathedrals in Europe and is well worth a visit!

Located hillside the castle has spectacular views of the city below.

Prague is a city rich with hidden WWII history, amazing architecture and great food. I would highly recommend a long weekend in Prague for anyone heading to Europe!

See you all tomorrow for Well-read Wednesday!

Happy Monday!

Happy Monday Everyone!

I just had to post this! I can't believe Monday is here again, bringing with it work, chores and washing *sigh.

Ok so today I thought I would share with you a few of my favourite pieces from my closet. I absolutely love to shop and hunt for a bargain so my wardrobe is kind of out of control! My wardrobe is a mix of new and vintage pieces, some designer pieces and others from shops like target! I am a big believer that you don't need to spend a fortune to look and feel fantastic.

First off my Current Elliot  - High Waist Stiletto jeans. These jeans are seriously the most comfortable and flattering jeans that I have ever owned. I am 5'6 (ft.) so to find jeans that aren't ridiculously long is sometimes a challenge.
Current Elliot jeans are hand made and come in various styles and washes. Check them out here.

Secondly my Michael Kors watch. I wear this beauty everyday. It is a classic time piece that won't break the bank and is  excellent quality. I wear mine with my gold bangle and the two look gorgeous together! You can check at all Michael Kors  watches here.

Lastly my Seed Amber Sneakers. These shoes are super comfy and cute. Perfect for running errands, school pick up or travel. I wore mine throughout Europe last summer and even played tennis in them this weekend! If thats not multipurpose I don't know what is! You can find them here.

So there you go!  I promise to post more of my favourite wardrobe pieces soon.

I love love love my new jewellery dish from Ruby Pilver. She is an Australian artist who hand makes and paints all her pieces. It was a belated birthday present from a friend and I adore it!

The Jane Austen Book Club by Karen Joy Fowler

Hi Ladies!

This weeks book is The Jane Austen Book Club by Karen Joy Fowler. I read this book early last year and thought it was very sweet. Centred on a book club of one man and five women, the group gathers weekly to discuss the Jane Austen classics. Whilst exploring the works of this prolific writer the members of the book club learn about each other, their relationships and themselves.

The Jane Austen Book Club was released as a film in 2007 and the film is every bit as delightful book.

This story is witty, emotional and highly enjoyable. The perfect weekend or holiday read. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Barcelona Adventures

Hi Everyone!

As I have mentioned I love to travel and Europe in particular holds a special place in my heart. Earlier in the year a few girlfriends and I headed to Barcelona to enjoy the sun, eat paela and explore the sights. Here is what we got up to and what we loved about this lively city.

This was the view from our roof top pool/ terrace at Andante Hotel . The hotel was modern, clean and very central, we loved it! Would highly recommend!

An absolute must do in Barcelona is a visit La Boqueria. It is basically a huge indoor food market with everything from chocolate to smoothies to fresh fish.  This place has it all!

However the highlight of Barcelona had to be our visit to Park Güell. With views looking over the entire city back towards the ocean, Park Güell is a beautiful garden located on Carmel Hill. The park was designed by  Antoni Gaudí, a renowned architect and the face of Catalan modernism. Filled with hundreds of mosaics, exotic plants and spots to admire the view Park Güell is a MUST do!

Here we are enjoying the park while sitting on one of the many mosaic benches.

Although we didn't have a lot of time in Barcelona (only three days) my girlfriends and I loved it! From the food to the culture this city is packed full of colour, life and really is a great vacation spot.

Have a wonderful day!

Happy Monday!

Happy Monday Everyone!

I hope your weekends where as lovely as mine! I headed to the beach on the weekend to catchup with a friend from out of state and what a beautiful weekend we had. If you are ever in sunny Queensland and looking for a getaway, you will not find a better spot than Noosa. Pure perfection!

Our weekend was filled with hikes through the nation park, leading to views like this!

We spent the rest of our weekend catching up, eating and laughing!

My lovely lunch date!

A long walk on the beach was the perfect end to our weekend.

Have a wonderful Monday ladies!
