Friday Favourites!

Happy Friday Friends!

This weekend you can find me either at the beach or celebrating that holiday called Halloween ;) But before I sign off for the weekend I'm sharing my 5 of my favourites from this week!

I ordered this gorgeous Country Road tote online on Monday and it arrived yesterday. This bag is perfect for the beach, kids stuff (because there is far too much to hold in two hands) or even a weekend away. You can check it out online here.

I have just started reading this book and I'm totally hooked. So many friends have recommended girl on the train to me before and I finally got my hands on a copy this week. I'm not even a chapter in but already know something cray-zay is about to go down!

Yesterday I shared my Adults only Pink Lemonade recipe on the blog. This is a summer favourite of mine so if you missed it you can check it out here.

Yesterday it was time for some mother / daughter bonding so it was off to the nail salon. I love doing this sort of thing not only because with manicured nails I fell a little more put together. But mostly because I got to spend a little quite time with one of my favourite ladies. I'am forever grateful that I got such a wonderful, caring and passionate lady as my mumma. *especially one who stills pays for my manicure ;)

As always so sweet words to start your Friday!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Spending a whole lot of time outdoors with family and friends! I was on babysitting duty last week so it was time to get the gang in the pool and burn some energy haha!

What I'm dreading

I have two massive final reports due in the next two weeks and that means heads down tails up. Only about 5000 words to write. So that should be interesting :/

What I'm working on

Birthday shopping, halloween costumes, christmas presents, christmas planning, organising new years. Why is it that October onwards is chaos. When will I learn to get organised sooner?!?

What I'm excited about

Celebrating all of the above :)

This one is an ongoing and ever long list. But favourites right now include Trophy Wife (I'm nearly finished) House and The Great Australian Bake off ! I have also seen a few great documentaries lately all of which you can see here.

What I'm listening to

All out 90s playlist on Spotify. I have a 90's themed party coming up so I'm re- familiarising myself with some classics.

What I'm looking forward to next month

All the shoes!

Morning Everyone!

Today we are talking shoes. I tend to buy five pairs in one go and then not think them for months. I'm a clothes and jewellery girl that stops caring when it comes to what I wear on my feet haha. So much of my time is spent on the run, working from home or traveling so a lot of my shoes are super practical but also very cute. Today I'm sharing a few of my Summer and Winter go to shoes that you will love!

Summer here is hot, like really hot. So when I'm running out of the house I grab one of these three pairs!

My espadrilles which are a long time favourite and 25% off at the moment, can be found here!

These Tory Burch Miller Sandals are a classic and so useful! They are also currently reduced and can be found here.

Whether you consider Birkenstocks hipster of geeky there is no denying they are comfy. I wear mine constantly and love them! You can grab a pair online here.

No matter where you live, you need a pair of these! They may seem a little pricy for the humble gum boot but trust me these Hunter Originals are well worth it. Their paired socks are also fabulous for the freezing cold and look super cute as well. You can find them all on Nordstrom.

Everyone needs a go-to pair of heeled booties and these Seed heritage Brooklyn Block Heels where mine this year. Currently reduced by 40% you need to grab a pair before they are gone! Find them here.
Finally, the knee high boot. The knee high is a sample in any winter wardrobe and is made by practically any shoe company of earth so you can undoubtedly find a pair within your budget (no matter what it it). These Country Road beauties can be found here.

Have a wonderful day my friends!

Girls Weekend!

Happy Monday Friends!

I have just arrived home from a gorgeous girls weekend away! Ah... so relaxing, so much fun and far too much sun! We are all exhausted and a little burnt haha but it was well worth it.

Just two Yankees off to the beach

We headed to the beach on Friday afternoon to make the most of the weekend and enjoy the AMAZING weather! There where 7 of us ladies, so it was a very loud, funny and chaotic beach house!

We ate

We drank

We spent a lot of time soaking up this view

And enjoying the beach!

I say it all the time but I'm so very lucky to have such a wonderful ground of girlfriends in my life. Friends who are smart, funny, supportive and caring - I love them all so much!

Friday Favourites

Happy Friday Friends!

This weekend I'm off to the beach for a girls mini-break to celebrate our sweet friend, Claire's Birthday. Wine, great food, the beach and my favourite ladies - I can't wait! But before the celebrations begin here are a few things I have been loving on this week!

Y'all know how I love my Erin Condren products. Well I was doing some early christmas shopping online the other day and stumbled across their phone case range. How have I never seen these! So needly to say there is a phone case on its way for me that is too darn cute to not be a favourite! You can find the full range here, above is the design I purchased.

Last Friday I attended the annual Pyjama Foundation Gala, supporting the education of kids in foster care. This is such a worthy cause and one which you can support in various ways. To learn more about this amazing foundation (set up by one of my close friends mum) click here.

Speaking of the Pyjama Foundation, on Wednesday I shared my weekly wardrobe as usual and mentioned the beautiful gown I wore to last weeks gala.
If you missed the post you can find it here and if you want to check out a little more of my Fame and Partners gown you can find it here.

Now this is not a new purchase but it has been a seriously great investment. So many please message asking where my silver watch is from and I try and tag it in the blog when it features in pics. However for those of you wondering it it the Marc Jacobs  and is gorgeous. It is elegant, simple and timeless. I have had this watch for nearly four years now and wear it almost every day! You can find it online here.

As always some wise words to start your weekend :)

Have a wonderful weekend friends!

The Hollywood Reporter Roundtables

Morning friends!

Today's post is a little different! You would have all herd of the Hollywood Reporter before, known for its exclusive celebrity interviews, essays and stunning photos. Well THR has gone one further now launching 'Roundtable' where they gather a group of celebrities together to talk race, sexism, hollywood and much more. These videos are posted sporadically via THR's youtube and are simply fantastic.

Super engaging, funny and thought provoking, I have watched two in the past week. I can not recommend these videos enough, so if you have a few spare minutes today check them out!

To find them simply Youtube, The Hollywood Reporter Roundtables!

Life Lately

Morning Friends!

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. I'm still recovering from an absolutely huge few days and will be enjoying a quite day working from home! Today I'm sharing a little snippet of what I have been up to recently but to be honest other than work it hasn't been a whole lot. Ok here we go!

Summer is nearly here and that means two things. Its all about entertaining and eating outdoors. AND swimming. I heart summer and can't wait!

Over the weekend we celebrated a fantastic charity helping support the education of children in foster care. The Pyjama Foundation was start by my friend Kate's mama so we love supporting her and this very worthy cause.

After a crazy few weeks you can find me in bed by ten! I'm currently reading a few books but not much is clicking. HELP! I need reading recommendations!

One of my favourite parts of an Australian summer, the amazing Jacaranda trees and their stunning purple flowers! When I see those trees bloom I know summer is not far away!

Thought I would share my recent cheese platter extravaganza! It was ladies night and cheese and wine was on the menu.

Last week my friend Sophie and I headed about an hour east to visit some friends for dinner. Our friends live along the bay and the views are gorgeous. It was the perfect time for a quick walk before girls dinner!

Side note: If anyone is in the Burleigh Area (QLD) do not miss out on a trip to The Paddock Bakery. It is a favourite in our household and their sandwiches are not to be missed!

Have a wonderful day friends!
