Life latley

Morning Everyone!

I hope you are all having a great week so far. Today I'm sharing a little bit of life lately because I feel like the last few weeks have been a blur. Can you believe we are well into February?!? Eeeekkkks!

Love love loving my beige midi skirt. It is perfect for work turned dinner and even has a little sparkle.

Speaking of work outfits, the Sass and Bide silk shirt made an appearance at work today. It may be two years old but I still adore it every bit as much as the day I bought it!

Saturday was taco / cocktail day for us. It was colourful and oh so delicious!

One of my favourite small humans headed off to a new school last week. The very school I attended when I was her age. If only I could keep her this small forever!

I saw this quote last week and just had to share it. 💗

We are soaking up the last few weeks of summer by spending as much time as possible here. Give me the beach, some sunshine and maybe a sneaky cocktail - I'm one happy lady ;)

And then yesterday this sweet Yankee fan celebrated her birthday. Happy Birthday to my baby sister!

So there is a little sneak peak at life lately, not terrible exciting but keeping me busy for sure. I hope you all have a wonderful day and I'll see you tomorrow!

Life Lately

Wow oh wow, this month has been crazy!

Today I'm sharing a little sneak peak into a few things that have been happening around here. December is in full swing and the last few weeks have been crazy busy. With plenty more celebrations, birthdays and Christmas plans on the books for the next few weeks. Here are a few things I have been up to!

I popped down to Sydney for a girls getaway and mini break. Wine, food, shopping, beach trips, the BEST company and some more shopping ;)

I'am so very lucky to have such special friends in my life!

Gilmore Girls is back on our screens and giving me all the feels. Thank you Netflix!

The whole family has really embraced the Christmas spirit. Well almost everyone! Don't think he is a fan of his costume!

Just some simple summer flowers ;)

Saturdays are being spent beach side. Give me all the sun and surf!

We celebrated our sweet friend Grace's big birthday the only way we know how. Crazy costumes and lots of wine!

Happy Birthday Jungle Jane! I mean Grace!

Then it was another December baby's turn! Happy Birthday Lauren!

Then we rounded out the week with University Graduation! A big day which was a long time coming but well worth the wait!

Oh my goodness, I'm exhausted!

Have a wonderful day friends!

Life Lately

Morning Friends!

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. I'm still recovering from an absolutely huge few days and will be enjoying a quite day working from home! Today I'm sharing a little snippet of what I have been up to recently but to be honest other than work it hasn't been a whole lot. Ok here we go!

Summer is nearly here and that means two things. Its all about entertaining and eating outdoors. AND swimming. I heart summer and can't wait!

Over the weekend we celebrated a fantastic charity helping support the education of children in foster care. The Pyjama Foundation was start by my friend Kate's mama so we love supporting her and this very worthy cause.

After a crazy few weeks you can find me in bed by ten! I'm currently reading a few books but not much is clicking. HELP! I need reading recommendations!

One of my favourite parts of an Australian summer, the amazing Jacaranda trees and their stunning purple flowers! When I see those trees bloom I know summer is not far away!

Thought I would share my recent cheese platter extravaganza! It was ladies night and cheese and wine was on the menu.

Last week my friend Sophie and I headed about an hour east to visit some friends for dinner. Our friends live along the bay and the views are gorgeous. It was the perfect time for a quick walk before girls dinner!

Side note: If anyone is in the Burleigh Area (QLD) do not miss out on a trip to The Paddock Bakery. It is a favourite in our household and their sandwiches are not to be missed!

Have a wonderful day friends!

Life Lately

Hey there Tuesday!

I'm still at home resting today but thought I should share a little bit of life lately. There hasn't been a whole lot going on since my speedy trip to NYC. But I'll take those slow, calm, wine filled weeks over chaos anytime ;)

Beautiful Bangalow!

Last Wednesday the stars aligned for my best friend and I, we managed to have a simultaneous day off, free of work and chores. So naturally, we bolted for the beach. We headed south to Byron Bay (one of my favourite day spots)  and then drove to Bangalow, a near by farm town with amazing views!

While we where beach side, we hit up my favourite Mexican restaurant ever, Miss Margarita, for some lunch

And a cheeky mid-day cocktail! It was fab!

I posted this pic on Instagram last week. My Gilmore girls addiction has lead me to cook with the cast! I basically have the show on in the background permanently now #notsorry

This last week has seen me house sitting for friends. Along with the bird, fish, chickens, dog and cat, there are also three alpacas. Yes, you herd correct, alpacas!

Thursday night was ladies night and that meant, wine, cheese, food and laughs. I'm so thank full for my sweet friends!

And then the flu hit :( So this past weekend hasn't been all that exciting. Primarily noodles, Gilmore Girls and sleeping. Quite, cozy and cold tablet coma's!

Here is to being back on my feet and a great week!

Life Lately!

Happy August Friends!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Mine was hectic but fun filled and has left me exhausted! But thats always a sign of a great time. Life around here has been business as usual with work, chores, birthdays, friends and holiday prep. But today I'm sharing a few of the fun things I have been up too lately.

Two weeks ago I headed down south to enjoy some quality time with girlfriends. We camped, enjoyed great music and had wonderful time.

On our way south we stopped for lunch at one of the cutest cafes I have ever seen. We enjoyed lunch in the garden and treated ourselves with a chocolate, marshmallow cookie that would change your life. If you are in the Burleigh area you need to pop into, The Paddock Bakery.

This past week we farewelled our sweet Lauren. Who is moving interstate for work. We love you Lauren!

We sent our sweet friend off with a Mexican feast! And it was amazing. Pulled pork tacos come to mumma!

Planning for the upcoming month / holiday / rest of the year is well under way! I spent the majority of last week organising my schedule slash stressing because I have no idea how it is already August! #wherehastheyeargone

We welcomed the weekend with a trip to the local farmers markets, where we picked up some groceries

And a few sneaky treats!

Oh and some STUNNING Columbian Roses! Just look at these beauties!

Finally, we celebrated our sweet friend Katy's birthday with an American themes birthday bash. There where hot dogs, ice cream and some shocking beer pong skills. It was a great night!

So there is a little insight into life lately. Thanks for stopping by today friends!

Friday Favourites!

It's Friday and I'm pumped!

Although this week has been blissfully uneventful, I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend. This weekend we are packing for our camping trip next week, celebrating my grandfathers birthday, brunching and hopefully fitting in a few chores! And a nap or movie break would be lovely, fingers crossed I can squeeze that in! But before I can even think about the weekend I better share my favourites from this week!

One

This may seem like a completely random favourite but this water bottle is brilliant. A water bottle that filters your water, no matter the tap... Genius! Although they are usually priced around $15 I found them reduced my local supermarket the other day. It's a splurge for a basic I'll admit but clean water is a must and since I will be camping next week, this baby is a must! Check out their official site here!

Two

On Wednesday I shared a whole lot of outfits! I have been so slack lately, forgetting to snap a pick of my outfits as I run out the door. But I'm pleased to say that I'm changing my ways and managed to capture a few cute getups this past week. If you missed this post you can catch it

Three

Ok this may not be 100% true because it is Winter here and I doubt that is the official season of camping! However some friends and I are packing up the car and heading south next week for 5 days of outdoors fun. How did I get conned into this again?!? I'm not a huge camper but I know that it will be a great trip. After all its not about where you go or how much you spend, its about the people your with! Lucky for me, my people are pretty wonderful.

Four

So I'm aware that the year isn't 1980 and most people don't buy physical travel books anymore, thanks to trip advisor etc. But I'm a secret nerd and organisation freak. I love planning my holidays  and having a solid understanding of the city I'm about to visit. No matter if you are visiting a city for the first or fifteenth time, you can't go past a pocket travel guide by Lonely Planet. My NYC one is currently filled with post its and scribbles! You can pick up these books for all countries in most bookstores or Amazon.

Five

Last off, as always some wise words to start your weekend!

Happy Friday friends!

Life Lately

Morning Everyone!

Happy 4th of July to all my American readers, I hope you are celebrating today with friends, family and great food. For everyone else its back to the Monday grind :( Today I'll be spending time with a little friend thanks to the winter school break and I think some iceskating may be on the cards! Wish me luck! But before my childcare duties begin here is a little look at life lately.

This beautiful winter weather has us outside enjoying the sun and some exercise. Someone in particular is loving all the extra walks.

I took this picture at our local show grounds last week because this has to be the definition of perfect winters morning! Love my sweet home town!

We welcomed the weekend with some wood fire pizzas and ribs. Rugged up with good food and great  friends is the perfect end to a long Friday!

My mum, younger sister and I, joined friends for a Breast Cancer morning tea last Sunday. With all donations, raffle funds etc going to the Cancer Council. It was such a fun morning and all for a great cause.

The morning was topped off when I won this baby in the raffle #win

The annual Life Line book fair is in town at the moment. My best friend and I popped in last week to grab some fantastic second hand books and have a browse. I love a great book and with all profits going to Life Line, why wouldn't you stop by?

I have been housesitting for friends this past week so was on anima duty. Along with the cat, bird, and fish I was also minding the chickens and these ladies.

Don't just your screens people, its an alpaca!

These gentle giants are as soft as they look and love a good pat!

Finally we wrapped up the weekend with a picnic in the park.

Great weather, beautiful friends and delicious food. The perfect end to a crazy week!

Have a wonderful day friends and I'll see you tomorrow!
