May Finds

Happy Monday Friends!

It is half way through the month and time seems to be flying! We had a busy but fun filled weekend and I'm far too exhausted to be starting the week. But lets give it a crack!

As I have said many times before, one of my favourite parts about blogging is sharing my great, fun, bargain and useful finds with you lovely ladies. I realised over the weekend I haven't shared any of these in a while. And boy oh boy, do I have some goodies to show you!

One

I mentioned this Tony and Guy Sea Salt spray last week and received a few questions about it. This was a recent spare of the moment find at my grocery store and has been a terrific purchase. Seriously, my hair smells great, my curls are bouncier and my hair is overall healthier. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Two

I was on the hunt for a new pair of 'cheap' jeans and H&M has delivered the goods! These slightly distressed jeans are cheap and cheerful and super comfy. I'm loving them and know you will love them too. Find them online here.

Three
There is nothing I love more than doing home after a long day and slipping into my Ugg boots. I have been buying Peter Alexander Ugg boots for years and adore them. My whole family now has a pair and even they love them. After three wonderful years I think its time me and my Ugg boots parted ways and I replace them with some newbies! You can grab a pair here.

Four

My sister bought me this Soap as part of a pack for christmas and I'm in love. It is gentle on skin and smells amazing. I can verify it makes a great gift ;) but trust me once you smell this you will want some for yourself. You can purchase it online here!

Five
Finally, one of the little gifts we spoilt my mum with this mothers day. How sweet is this monogrammed leather phone case from The Edited Daily?!? My sister has had one for a while now and loved hers so much I checked them out online. Be warned this site is gorgeous and you will want one of everything! You can find their personalised phone cases here.

So there you have it, a few of my recent (not very exciting) purchases! Have a terrific day everyone and happy shopping.

Friday Favourites

Happy Friday!

We have a huge weekend planned filled with all sorts of fun things, so I'm pumped! This weekend we will take a visit to my hometowns annual show/fair. We have been attending the show since I was a little kid and it is always a great day out. But before I gorge myself on all things carbohydrate lets take a look at this weeks favourites!

One

My mom has always loved arrange flowers and has even entered our hometowns show with her arrangements. She is back at it again this year with this STUNNING flower crown. Fingers crossed she comes home with a ribbon!

Two

After shopping around for a while, a friend recommended this Tony and Guy Sea Salt Spray. Simply spray intp damp hair and leave to air dry. This spray gives your waves a little bounce and will leave your hair smelling amazing! Best part, it won't break the bank and can be found in most major supermarkets!

Three

If you missed this weeks Wednesday Wardrobe you can catch it here! The weather has been all over the place lately so my outfits are a total jumble at the moment. Hopefully our weather will settle down soon and we can whip out the scarves and jackets. #iheartwinter

Four

I have recently 'reconnected' with Greys Anatomy and loving it! So much so I decided to throw on a few old episodes the other day while I did some work and chores. I can't wait to see how season 12 ends but for now I'm loving my Meredith/Derek time :(

Five

Last up, as always a sweet little quote to start your weekend! For more wise words, check out my Pinterest board here.

Have a wonderful weekend friends!

Passionfruit Melting Moments

Morning Everyone!

Todays recipe is a new favourite in our house and the perfect treat to make with kids. This fruity take on a classic is perfect for summer afternoon teas or lunch box treats.  These biscuits are so good, I actually have some baking in the oven this very moment!

You Will Need
250g unsalted butter (softened)
1/2 cup pure icing sugar
1 1/2 cups plain flour
1/2 custard powder

Icing
60g unsalted butter
1/2 pure icing sugar
2 passion fruits (for pulp)

Method
Pre heat your oven to 160C and line two large baking trays with non stick paper.

Use an electric mixer to beat the butter and icing sugar until combined. Gently mix in the flour and custard powder  until to have a soft dough.

Roll dough into small balls and place on the baking trays. Use a fork to flatten the balls. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden. Cool completely on wire rack.

Icing
combine the butter and icing sugar with an electric mixture until smooth. Then add passionfruit pulp and mix through. Spread a generous amount of icing on half the biscuits and then sandwich with an un iced biscuit.

*Recipe should make approximate 30 biscuits

Enjoy!

Wednesday Wardrobe

Happy Wednesday Friends!

I hope your weeks are off to a good start. As always on Wednesday, I'm sharing my wardrobe from the week. But I have to apologise as my memory has seriously lapped this week and I have taken all of three photos in the last seven days. Thus only a few rather un-exciting outfits have been recorded haha. #imworkingonit

I have mentioned this very 'glamourous' Pj set on the blog a few times now. Simple because they are super cute, super comfy and make a fab gift. Thank you Victoria's Secret ! I usually pair this look with some slippers and bed hair ;) My set is no longer available :( but you can find so many cute sets here!

The weather here is crazy at the moment. One minute its 30C and the next its windy and rainy! However yesterday the sun was out and the temperature was perfect #ohhappydays
Shorts exact here (On Sale!)
Shirt exact here
Watch exact here
Sandals similar here

Finally, I love this little outfit! My jeans are fabulous but have recently been discontinued, I was so upset! Here  you can find a similar pair.  Same shoe - different colour found at Nordstrom here!

This is a better look at my off the shoulder (un ironed ) shirt! It is last seasons so no longer available but Seed Heritage has a tone of gorgeous similar shirts ON SALE here!

I promise to be better behaved this week and try to both iron and photograph my outfits! See you all tomorrow for another delicious sweet recipe!

Abu Dhabi TO-DO

Morning Everyone!

As many of you know I have recently retuned from living in Abu Dhabi,  UAE. I absolutely loved living there, it is truly an amazing city. But I have to say there really is no place like home :) If you are heading to the middle east  or Europe bound soon I would seriously encourage you to make a pit stop in Abu Dhabi. This city is rich in history and has some amazing new sites that really are worth your while. Here are my five favourite spots in this beautiful city!

One

If you are looking for a great place to relax then look no further. The Saadiyat Beach club is the perfect place for a lazy afternoon and cocktail by the beach. For more details check out their official site here!

Two

Possibly the best roof top bar in Abu Dhabi, the Rosewood Hotel is home to GLO. Great views, good food and a fantastic atmosphere, GLO is the perfect place for evening drinks or even a light dinner. For opening times and more details visit the official site here!

Three

The Ritz-Carlton is by far the most lavish hotel in Abu Dhabi. Home to 8 world class restaurants, the Ritz-Carlton is well worth the 20 minute cab ride from down town. I would highly recommend Mijana for some amazing Arabic food. For more details see the official site here.

Four

If you are visiting Abu Dhabi there is no way you can miss Emirates Palace. Emirates Palace is one of the most famous hotels in the world and an incredible architectural icon. Emirates Palace is home to 394 guest rooms and has been described as 'beyond 7 star'. I highly recommend their High Tea at Le Cafe! Reservations for high tea are a must so plan your visit in advance. All details can be found here.

Five

Last but certainly not least, the Sheikh Zayed Mosque is perhaps the most famous monument in Abu Dhabi. This Mosque is well worth a visit regardless of your religion and is truly breath taking. For opening times visit the official page here.

If you already follow me on Instagram you will probably recognise a few of these pictures. If not remember you can keep up with all my travels here!

What's Up ~ Entertainment Edition

Happy Monday Everyone!

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend and enjoyed your mothers day. We celebrated mothers day with an afternoon tea at my parents place and WAY too much delicious food. I will share one of my favourite recipes from the party later in the week, so stay tuned!

Speaking of things I'm loving at the moment, todays post is my monthly Entertainment  guide. You guys always have great suggestions about new shows, books, movies etc so I love hearing your feedback. I also loving being able to share great finds with you so this is definitely one of my favourite posts! Ok here we go!

TV

After nearly 12 seasons of Greys Anatomy I'm pretty confident I could perform an emergency appendectomy. However I'm not sure how this crazy season will finish up. I have been eagerly watching this season and with only 3 episodes to go, anything could happen! #shondarhimesproblems  #keepsusguessing

I'll be honest I have never been a huge fan of master chef however after months of nagging from my friends I have decided to give it another crack. The latest season started last week and all of a sudden I'm watching master chef 5 nights a week. Hopefully all this cooking inspo will rub off on my soon!

Books

I have been watching the Graham Norton show for years and think he is hilarious. His previous book was very good and when I her he had released another I knew I needed to get my hands on a copy. This book is a hilarious look into his life, loves and career highlights. I highly recommend it! You can grab yourself a copy here.

Movies

My sister and I took our mother to see this movie last week and well there isn't a lot to say. There where undoubtably a few laughs but a lot of it was pretty cringe worth. A great cast and sweet storyline this is definitely a good way to spend a Sunday afternoon with your own mom!

Although this movie isn't out yet I already have plans to see it this week! I love Tina Fey this movie looks fantastic. My sister and I are taking our mom this week, so fingers crossed its as good as it seems!

Remember to please leave your recommendations below, I love hearing what y'all are up too in your spare time!

Have a wonderful day everyone!
