5 Quick Questions!

Happy Tuesday Friends!

Yesterday we celebrated ANZAC day with a dawn service and then bbq and cricket match at our local show ground. The weather was beautiful and it was a terrific day!

Today I'm sharing five more quick questions. As always these are a mix of old and new questions so please keep them coming. Ok, here we go!

What Cheers You Up?
Dinner with my girlfriends. Sharing a meal and a great glass of wine with my friends is the cure for any bad day.

What is your favourite word?
Spectacular! I love saying this word, i love using it to describe wonderful, exciting things, I love the way it sounds. It is by far my favourite word. Well that and 'Sale' !

What was your favourite class in college?
There where a tone of classes I really loved in college. But to be honest my favourite has to be one of the first I ever took. It was a intro to journalism call which I loved. It was also the class where I would meet my now best friend, along with a few other girls who I' am still close with today. I remember everything about the class, the tutor, the campus room and even the assessment. Just thinking about it puts a smile on my face!

What is your favourite breakfast food?
Pancakes! By far the greatest breakfast food known to man! This fried batter concoction is a terrific meal all day round but best served in the morning after a long night ;) I had fantastic banana pancakes on Sunday after a huge night out. It was heaven!

What is your favourite thing to spend money on?
Wine ;) Just kidding, but wine is definitely on the list. However this will come as no shock to most of you that my favourite way to spent the cashola is on my wardrobe. I'm a self confessed shopaholic and love a great sale. So clothes, bag, jewellery etc is my jam!

There you have it, 5 more quick questions! I hope you all have a spectacular day ;)

5 Quick Questions

Happy Monday Everyone!

Today I'm sharing the answer to 5 more quick questions! Please keep them coming, some of them are really fantastic some of them are really though provoking and some of them are hysterical! I'm trying to answer and post a mix of all these questions so I hope you enjoy. Please note I will be taking a few days off fro blogging to enjoy some time with my Mumma, who is visiting me in the UEA. So I will be back and blogging on the 21st of March!

The best compliment you ever received?

Just before I moved overseas I had a going away/ early birthday party and a few of my closest girlfriends made a speech. One of my friends said that her favourite thing about me was my smile and laugh. Explaining how my laughter and cheeky smile could turn her day around. This isn't a compliment about my looks or achievements but one that highlighted our ability to effect other people and reminded me the effect my attitude can have on others. I hope that I can continue to bring a little happiness to other people through my positive attitude and 'ugly' snorting laugh!

What is on your perfect pizza?

I LOVVVVVVE me some pizza. I swear I could eat Italian food for the rest of my days! That being said traditional Italian pizza's are incredibly minimalist. And so are my pizza toppings. Give me a classic Margarita pizza, with lots of cheese and a great glass of wine and I'll love you forever!

What was the first hing you thought when you woke up this morning?

Can't I have just 5 more minutes in bed? + Why didn't I go to bed earlier last night??

If you could have only one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?

I have said it before and I'lll say it again. Ice cream is the one food I will happily eat for the rest of my life. So many different flavours, so many possibilities! But as I mentioned before, all Italian cuisine has my  heart. So bring on the Pizza, pasta and tirimisu people!

Favourite holiday?

Christmas! 1000000% Christmas is the clear winner for me! I love decorating, cooking, shopping and all other activities related to this holiday! December is my favourite time of year because we are always surrounded by family and friends during this time, as well as some great food! Christmas is also a time to celebrate our blessings, spend time with loved ones and reflect on Jesus himself aka 'reason for the season'!

I hope you all have a wonderful week ladies and remember I will see you back here, next Monday the 21st!

What was the last thing you ate?

Delicious French Toasts with seasonal berries from Jones the Grocer! Yummy!

What is the last movie you saw?

Miss you already. Staring Drew Barrymore and Toni Collette. It was sweet, funny and a total tear jerker. I sobbed at least three times during this movie, but it was totally worth it! Love this movie!

What makes your heart flutter and brings a big cheesy smile to your face?

When someone can make me laugh or pays me a genuine and kind comment! And flowers, flowers are the way to my heart! What can I say, I'm a hopeless romantic!

What was the last picture you took on your phone?

The last picture I took, just so happens to be the picture I shared on instagram on the weekend! Here is my view on Saturday AKA my local beach where the desert meets the sea!

Morning Everyone!

I hope your weeks are off to a flying start. Today we are doing 5 Quick Questions. Please please please keep posting and messaging me questions I promise to answer as many as I can. Ok let's do this!

Whats your favourite quote?

This is a really tough questions because I'm a total sucker for a good quote. I keep a little quote journal so I can write down my favourites as I hear them. I also have a Pinterest board which is often filled with ones I come across. You can see that board HERE. But at this very moment my favourite quote has to be....

What's your favourite sent?
Without trying to sound like a total creep my favourite sents are those of my family and friends. You know how some people just have a particular smell? I think the smell of my loved ones just brings on a senses of familiarity and safety which I can't help but cherish.

Steering away from creepy lady who smells other people! Narciso Rodriguez, For Her, is my all time favourite perfume!

What are you listening to at the moment?
I have a seriously eclectic taste in music. But at the moment I am loving these three songs and think you will too!

Mine By Phoebe Ryan

Closing time By General Ghost

If I had a boat By Karen Elson

Do you believe in Karma?

Absolutely! You can't expect good from the world and other people, unless you yourself provide the world with positivity and love.

Where are you going on your next vacation?

At the moment I have plans to visit my younger sister in the USA at the end of the year. I have been lucky enough to travel to America a number of times before. But there is so much to see!

So there you have it, my 5 Quick Questions for the week! Please continue to send questions in!

5 Quick Questions!

Hi Friends!

Today I am back with more, quick questions! Thank you to everyone who submitted questions and please continue to do so. I love getting to know you ladies and also love getting to share my little quirks with all of you!

What gets you up in the morning?
I tend to be a pretty positive person and I am definitely a big believer in enjoying the little things in life. So I really look forward to little things I have going on in my week. In terms of big things, I am also aware that my life is pretty darn blessed and I owe it to myself to make the absolute most of my opportunities. I get up in the morning and try to bring good into the world and make the most of everyday!

What is your earliest childhood memory?
Every weekend as a kid, my parents would pack us up into the car and we would drive 2 hours to the beach. We would spend our weekend by the sea, on the sand and in the water. Eating, spending time with my grandparents and enjoy our time together. Collecting shells with my grandma on the beach and driving up the freeway with the windows wound down, would have to be two of my earliest memories. I loved this time, my childhood was very blessed!

Have you ever broken a heart?
I'm not sure if I have ever 'broken' a heart but I have definitely had a broken heart. Break up are crappy no matter who ends it, how they end or why they end. My most meaningful romantic relationship definitely ended in tears (from both ends) but I whether they where left broken hearted is unknown to me!

Whats your weakness?
Food and a good sale!  If you have been reading my blog for a while, you will know I am a total sucker for a good feed and a great sale. Whether it is Thai food or chocolate, I simply cannot resist! That also goes for a sale, if its a two for one at Bath and Body Works, or a discount on a $500 dress I just can't walk past the window without 'investigating'!

Name three things you can't survive without!

1. my phone, omg if I ever lost my phone I think the world may stop. This is my calendar, camera and insight into the world thanks to the internet. I could not live without my trusty iPhone!
2. Tea, I have at least two cups of tea a day. Tea helps relax me when I am getting stressed out at work or when I need to wind down from a big day. Come to thing of it wine could also help (and does often) in these situations ;)
3. My PJ's ! If I am home, you will find me in my pjs. I love to buy pyjamas that are not only comfy but cute. And no set of pyjamas is complete without some slippers. So I will also be wearing them. I could in no way live without my many many many pairs of cozy pj's!

Don't forget to comment or message me questions for next time!

5 Quick Questions!

Morning Friends!

Today we are starting something new! Today is the my very first 5 Quick questions post. Every few weeks I will be answering 5 random quick questions about my self. Some of these questions have been submitted by you lovely ladies and others are questions we all talk about with our girlfriends over a glass of wine.  If you have any questions for me to answer next time, just shoot me a message :) Ok let's do this!

How do you take your tea?

I really really dislike black tea!!  However I am a big fan of peppermint, lemon or ginger tea. No sugar, no milk just some flavoured tea for me!

Do you believe in soul mates?

Of course! I'm not sure if there is more than one for each of us out there. But I am 100% certain that some couples are just meant to be. #hopelessromantic

What is your ideal night out?

Easy! Drinks and dinner with my girlfriends. I am so lucky to have such wonderful, smart, funny and supportive friends in my life and I cherish the time we get to spend together. Long dinners with great food and good wine and my gals, wherever we are, is a win!

What's you favourite season?

Growing up in Australia you develop a bit of a love-hate relationship with summer. Summer means beach trips, ice cream and long days outside by the pool. But it also means 40 degree days and blistering sun = sunburn pretty much always! If you can look past the inevitable heat, an Australian Summer has to be the best season there is!

What is your favourite thing about your family?

I have to admit I am a pretty lucky lady because my family and I are incredibly close. There are so many things I love about my family and our complicated, supportive and unique relationships. But my favourite thing about this wonderfully wacky group of people is their humour. There is never a dull moment in our house and there is constantly the sound of laugher flooding the halls. I am so lucky to have grown up in such a happy home! Shout out to my family, love you guys!

I hope you enjoyed my first 5 Quick Questions post and remember to email me any burning questions you have for next time!
