Desert Safari - Platinum Heritage

Happy Monday Everyone!

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! As I mentioned last week, I will begin to share a few of my favourite tourists spots and activities in Dubai, over the next couple of weeks. If you are heading to the middle east some time soon or are thinking about escaping to Dubai for a holiday you need to check these posts out! Today I will be sharing our trip to the desert with Platinum Heritage tours!

Let me start by saying that this evening tour exceeded all of our expectations! It really was worth every dime and is an experience we will not forget in a hurry. I had previously gone on a cheaper desert safari with a group of friends and found it really crowded, cold and a little underwhelming. So this time round I opted for a company that provides smaller tour groups.

Our tour group consisted of 6 people including ourselves which was fantastic. Our guide was informative, kind and very knowledgeable about the middle east and the Royal Families National Reserve where we visited. *Platinum Heritage is the only tour company in Dubai which has access to this reserve (another bonus)

How does one travel through the desert you may ask? Via vintage open roof land rovers of course!

Your hair will be protected from the sand and wind when your guide presents you with your own traditional head scarf. I really look the part now!

During your tour you will watch a live falcon show. Ride camels and eat under the stars. The food was authentic and seriously delicious!

We experienced native wild animals and learnt about their habitats, diets and efforts to protect them within this reserve.

Overall we had a seriously AMAZING evening and I would 10000% recommend this to anyone considering a Safari tour whilst in the middle east. For reference we chose the dinner safari and it was exceptional. For more information and bookings click here!

Have a wonderful day everyone!
